Even-keeled, easy-going and happy-go-lucky best describe Gillian. She’s a better listener than a talker but doesn’t shy away from raising her voice during games night! Hailing from the shores of Georgian Bay in Ontario, she’s made the west coast home for at least two degrees and plans to stay for as long as UBC will have her.
Amidst school, Gillian worked in search and rescue with the Coast Guard where she lived by the motto, ‘drive it like you stole it.’ She can dock a boat with her eyes closed, tie a bowline inside-out and spot a whale from a dolphin. After sacrificing every pair of sunglasses to the sea, Gill knew it was time to get off the water and moved far inland to Prince George to start medicine. The cold winters were fitting for her love of tea, fleece and slow cookers.
Catch Gill reeling minnows on her fly rod, hollering on her mountain bike or packing bananagrams into the backcountry. When she’s not chasing central lines and chest tubes, she’s racing the dog on her skinny skis or café hopping for the best London Fog.
