Growing up in the prairies, Helene dreamt of finding mountains and coasts. She first sought out the shores of Lake Ontario for medical school – the proud Queen’s alum will talk your ear off about the incredible community she found there and the nearby Adirondack mountain range. Now that she’s finally made it to BC, you’ll find her exploring the wilderness by day and embarrassing her co-residents on the dance floor by night. She is also loving all of the excitement at the VGH Emergency Department. She appreciates good food and good hangs: if you so much as make eye contact with her, she will take you to the farmer’s market to find some local treats, or will try to talk you into enjoying a beer at one of the city’s breweries… or on her patio.
