Hailing from the bustling seaside metropolis of Nanaimo, B.C., Erin has always been an Island gal and feels a sense of panic when she is not within 15 minutes of an ocean. She packed her bags after high-school and set out for the big city of Victoria for her BSc. with a special focus in Neurobiology (although she is still scared of neuro exams). In her gap year and during medical school, she worked as a paramedic on the Boo-Boo Bus, where she fostered her love for Emergency Medicine and sleepless night shifts. She completed medical school at UBC’s Island Medical Program and loved it so much that she decided she had to stick around for EM residency.
As a self proclaimed crazy cat lady, you can find her gentle parenting her two fur babies, Chowder and Tuli. She shares many interests with her cats, including napping in the sun and demanding a treat after every meal. In her free time, Erin loves gaming with her partner and collecting emotes on Fortnite. One summer in undergrad, she sunk over 200 hours into Skyrim while parallel serving as the dungeon master for her squad’s D&D campaign. Besides her love of her Xbox, she has mastered the art of hot girl walks with her besties around Victoria and enjoys a night out at Tapas or the Board Game cafe. Catch her at the turf for some footy or in the gym working on her deadlifts – she loves to stay active too and is just about up for anything (unless it involves major heights).
Erin couldn’t be more excited to be joining the awesome team at UBC and in Victoria and looks forward to the next adventure of becoming a well rounded, caring EM physician
