Hannah is First Nations (Nlaka’pamux and Secwepemc) from Ashcroft, BC. She completed an undergrad in Health Sciences at SFU and with the motto “from cell to society,” Hannah is pretty invested social determinants of health and their manifestations in the Emergency Department. She went to UBC for medicine, and completed an Integrated Community Clerkship in Terrace, BC which was an incredible experience in Northern and Indigenous Health.
While she has been known to go on an adventure or two (the coolest of which was trekking the Annapurna Circuit in Nepal), this desert girl has come to love the socked-in, rainy days of Vancouver; they’re perfect for wheelthrowing pottery, beading earrings, crosswords, snuggling up with a good book/cup of tea, and other crafty grandma activities (read: adhd hyperfixations).
Although she is ever trying to get back to the interior where she hopes to practice one day, Hannah picked the Fraser site because of the incredible team, the volume of trauma, and the late night DoorDash prospects of Metro-Vancouver.
