Jade was made in China and was imported to Canada as a child, where she was raised in Coquitlam. She took her Chinese name, which can be translated into “Jade study”, a bit too literally and ended up in medical school.
As a medical student, she found herself drawn to the breadth and acuity of emergency medicine and could always be found peeking into the trauma bay. Just don’t turn the lights off in there, things may get unpredictable as she’s terrified of jumpscares in the dark.
She’s raised enough animals to start a zoo including rabbits, chickens, parrots, squirrels, geese, dogs, tarantulas, turtles, and cats. She’s even swam with elephants and sea turtles, but she definitely didn’t try to take those home. She currently raises her two beloved cats Tophu and Azula, named in reference to Avatar (the non-blue version).
In her spare time, she stays in touch with friends from all over by playing video games. She also enjoys exploring the outdoors, playing badminton, bouldering and attending spin classes. As the resident raver, you might catch her in the wild giving out stickers and bracelets at local raves and concerts.
