Katie is joining us from Calgary, where she was born and raised. Growing up, Katie never stopped moving whether it was swimming in the pool, skiing in BC or just running around with friends and family.
For her undergrad, Katie took a big move out east to St. FX in Nova Scotia where she studied chemistry and learned to balance school and fun. At St. FX Katie fell in love with the sciences. So much so that after graduation she switched out the quiet streets of Antigonish for the bright lights of NYC. Here she was lucky enough to complete her Masters of Public Health. Katie then decided to go back home to Calgary where she completed her medical school and found her passion in emergency medicine and community health promotion.
Katie couldn’t be more excited to be in Victoria joining this amazing team of residents, doctors, nurses and more. In her free time you can find Katie out for a run, walk, bike or swim. So if you see her out make sure to say hi!
