Samuel Hogman is a late addition to the Victoria Emergency Medicine residency program, having made the switch from Winnipeg EM in PGY-3. He has brought with him extensive experience in trauma resuscitation, critical care, and an unmatched passion for cycling. His favourite cycling spandex is Giordana and rumour has it that he wears them under his scrubs for comfort and increased efficiency. He also shaves his legs for the marginal aero gains, but no gains are great enough to make him shave his beard. When he is not cycling or telling people about how he has been cycling, he is telling people how much he’d rather be cycling.  In the little time that remains, he can be found playing with his duck-toller Cedar or exploring the best coffee/eats in town with his all-star IM OB wife, Sarah. Surprising absolutely no one, he is doing 5th year advanced competency in sports medicine, with a focus on – you guessed it – cycling. We are stoked to have Sam as part of our program!
