Amanda Mills, Vancouver Site

Amanda, our aquatic aficionado, is practically part fish. When she’s not making a splash in the Emergency Department, you can find her beach combing, camera in hand, capturing moments through the lens of her trusty Minolta. But Amanda’s hobbies don’t stop there. She’s a triathlon enthusiast, proving that she can conquer both land and sea. Her co-residents have raved about her love for the outdoors: “she’s not scared of bugs at all!”.

She’s passionate about nurturing her local community in the ED and improving access to care, and you’ll catch her off duty tending to community gardens around town. Not only does she have a green thumb, she also is our resident Picasso, painting in her spare time or designing tattoos.

Surprisingly, Amanda’s journey to medicine started with a jacket-slamming stint in chemical engineering at Queen’s University. After eight years in Kingston, she’s been enjoying exploring the West Coast. Amanda, our all-terrain, all-season, all-smiles EM resident.
