Eleanor MacLean, Interior Site

Raised in Vancouver, Eleanor is horse girl, cyclist and outdoors enthusiast. She developed her sea legs early, spending much of her childhood living on boats: on a barge travelling the canals of Europe and a sailboat cruising around the beautiful West Coast up to Alaska.

After high school, she packed up her horse and moved to California, where she lived in her horse trailer and worked for a Canadian Olympian. After a year of tiny trailer showers, no wifi and competing across the USA on her 4-legged friends, she traded in her spurs for a tricolour tam to study life sciences at Queen’s University. She then continued enjoying the flatlands of Southwestern Ontario as a medical student at Western University.

When she’s not on-shift, this washed-up horse girl can usually be found riding less sentient steeds such as road bikes and mountain bikes, trying to keep up with her co-residents on runs or snuggled up on the couch with a good book, fuzzy socks and numerous cups of tea.
