Hilary grew up on the North Shore but has since steeped in many different towns including Sackville NB where she completed her undergraduate degree at Mt. Allison, Nelson BC where her family calls home, and Whistler BC where she learned to shred ski slopes.
She has since wandered throughout BC for her medical training as part of the UBC Southern Medical Program in Kelowna, completing her clerkship year in Trail and travelling to various sites for electives. In Trail, she learned that the emergency department staff provided the best snacks and eventually a love for the specialty developed. She is excited to be joining the family in Victoria for residency. After hearing their terrible sense of humour on an elective, she just knew she had to be part of the team.
When not at work, usually you can find Hilary with her Bernese Lab cross named Remy. Like Hilary, Remy’s favourite activities include napping, catching snowballs, and pretending to enjoy swimming. Hilary also enjoys striving for a hole-in-one in minigolf, challenging people to board games, and finding new favourite ice-cream flavours!
