Kiran grew up in Calgary playing any and all sports at a largely mediocre level. After an undergrad in his hometown and stints working in management consulting and government, Kiran headed east for medical school in Toronto.
While his first exposure to emergency medicine was when we took hockey puck to the forehead at age 11, Kiran was undeterred and could not be more excited to join the UBC EM family and explore his interests in health systems research, trauma, and addictions medicine. When he is not at work, he can be found with the homies at the beach, on a mountain, or discovering Vancouver’s restaurants and cocktail bars.
